STAGE COLONY  began his stud career in South Africa, where his daughter COLONIAL GIRL (SAf), Group 1 winner, was the 2001 Champion Stayer in South Africa. He has sired additional Graded/Group stakes performers Queen's Consul (SAf), Island Colony (SAf) and the Stakes winning Starring Me, George W and Stage Mate (SAf).

A son of champion and classic winner Pleasant Colony, sire of 2003 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Pleasantly Perfect, STAGE COLONY is bred along the same cross (Pleasant Colony, out of a Stage Door Johnny mare) as the successful sire Pleasant Tap, sire of 2003 Japan Cup winner, Tap Dance City. Stage Colony is a full brother to champion Pleasant Stage (G1), Grade 2 winner Colonial Play and to the dam of Grade 1 winner, Changeintheweather.
